Personal
For one person, on work that doesn’t earn money: renders for yourself, learning, your portfolio, game jams and non-commercial projects. Credit is welcome but never required.
Commercial
For work that earns money, by you or your company: client projects, games and apps you sell, advertising, film and broadcast, with any number of end users. Everyone on your company’s team may use the files on its projects.
What no licence allows
Reselling, sharing or giving away the source files, on their own or in another asset pack, and using them to train models that generate 3D assets. Using a model inside a finished game, render or film is fine; handing someone the model itself is not.
Do I need a new licence for every project?
No. A licence covers you, or your company with Commercial, for as many projects as you like.
Do free models come with conditions?
Free models can be used in personal and commercial work, with the same rule against reselling the files.
Not sure which you need?
Write to support@example.com and describe the project. The full wording is in the terms.
